"Into The Light"
My first dabble at digital collage. I am teaching myself
and so far it is try one thing, then hit edit and undo it.
Every third try I usually do something I can live with ~ although
this is not everything I hoped, it is a good enough for now
attempt. Any helpful suggestions for working with
Photoshop Elements would be greatly appreciated.

A self taught digital artist ... that's impressive ... you must have the patience of Job!
The icy blues of your collage along with the image are really fantastic!!

This is gorgeous! Can't wait to see your future work :0)
So pretty ! :-)
This is beautiful! The coloration and placement of the woman is perfect- adds a wonderful character and story to the given image!
Pięknie Ci to wyszło !!!!!!!!
I have so much sympathy for anyone trying to learn Photoshop Elements. I cut my digital teeth on a now defunct program - Microsoft Digital Image Pro - which is absolutely brilliant and very easy to use. It offers just as much and more. Everything is automatic. Layers can be opened and moved around at a single click. Photoshop makes even the simplest procedures so difficult. I use PSE in a limited way (brushes, background extracting etc) but I use it in conjunction with other softwares. The only thing I can suggest is buying "Photoshop Elements for Dummies". This helps but I am inclined to think that they should write "PSE for Dummies who are even dumber" (that's me). If you decide to buy a "for Dummies" make sure it matches your version of PSE because a new version of the book is released with each update. The best thing would be if you can find a PSE user in your part of the world who can take you through the steps on the computer.
Even though you say you are a newcomer to digital collage, your picture is lovely.
Cheers from Marie.
I think you have created your collage very beautifully! And the title "Into the Light" is so perfect for your lovely image.
I also use Photohop, but I have PS CS3. I don't know how different it is compared to Photoshop Elements.
I Love your blog and found you during OWOH. I had to list three new favs. hope you don't mind!

I have tried to get around to everyone's blog or write to your email address (as I have them) to let you know how much I enjoyed and appreciated your comments! Thanks for the encouragement ~ it strengthens me more than you'll ever know. Thanks for being my friend out here in blogland! Showers of Blessings on each of you!
